A total of 51 personnel participated in the drill, including the base protection operations team of the 3rd Training Wing, the special mission unit, the explosive ordnance disposal team, the CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear) support unit, as well as staff from Sacheon Airport and Sacheon Police Station.

Upon arrival, the special mission unit and police tactical team entered the building while a negotiator distracted the hostage-taker, successfully subduing the suspect and rescuing the hostages safely.
Subsequently, when a suspicious object believed to be an explosive was discovered during a search of the building, the explosive ordnance disposal teams from both the 3rd Training Wing and the airport jointly used X-ray detection equipment to determine the risk and took necessary safety measures. The CBRN support unit then used biochemical detection devices to check for contamination, concluding the drill.
Kim Wonjin, Major and Head of the Military Police at the 3rd Training Wing, who supervised the drill, stated, "Through this exercise, we were able to review the practical response capabilities of our anti-terrorism forces and the protection posture of key facilities. We will continue to maintain a close cooperation system with related agencies to do our utmost to safeguard the daily lives of our citizens."
