Gongyoung Home Shopping announced on May 12 that it will broadcast live the presentation evaluations for the “Domestic Excellent Ideas and Innovative Companies Product Contest.”


This contest, now in its fifth year, is a flagship policy support initiative of Gongyoung Home Shopping. Supported by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, it aims to discover young entrepreneurs and regionally based startups across Korea, and to foster a sustainable venture ecosystem.

The live broadcast will be available on the Gongyoung Home Shopping YouTube channel over two days, May 13 and 14. The event is designed to promote Gongyoung Home Shopping’s policy support program and to enhance transparency and fairness in the judging process. A total of 45 companies will participate in the presentation evaluation, and 15 finalists will be selected. The results will be announced on May 29.


The selected companies will receive development support grants: 10 million won for the grand prize (1 team), 8 million won for the top excellence award (1 team), 4 million won for the excellence award (8 teams), and 3 million won for the encouragement award (5 teams). The top 10 companies will also receive benefits such as coaching for home shopping productization, two broadcast opportunities, preferential commission rates, and support for home shopping video production costs. The five teams receiving the encouragement award will be provided free product advertisement video production, and these videos will be aired on the Gongyoung Home Shopping channel to increase product exposure. Last year, 10 companies that gained sales channel support through the contest achieved a combined revenue of 1 billion won.



A representative from Gongyoung Home Shopping stated, “We organized this event to widely promote the excellence of our SMEs’ products through the live broadcast,” adding, “We will continue to expand policy communication with the public and strive to discover more small and medium-sized enterprises in the future.”
