"Korea CDX Economy Association Launched to Turn Artistic Content into Digital Assets"

Developing a Value Index
Plans for Financial Integration with Copyright-Backed Loans and STO

An association has been established to distribute artistic content such as literature, music, and visual arts as digital assets. The association plans to promote the distribution of content through proper value assessment and to facilitate financial access for creators and related companies.

The Korea Content Digital Asset Economy Association (Korea CDX Economy Association) was officially launched on May 8, 2026, after receiving formal approval from the Gyeonggi Provincial Government. The association was formed through a founding board comprising artists, media art-related entrepreneurs, financial experts, and legal and accounting professionals. The CEO position is held by Lee Jungwook, auditor at DWS Asset Management.

The association plans to develop its own content value index based on theories of content value assessment. By utilizing this index, it aims to ensure that artistic content receives fair compensation.

Regarding the background of the association's establishment, a representative stated, "Although artistic content such as literature, music, visual arts, and film is being distributed in the digital market, the unique characteristics of the digital market (non-rivalrous and non-excludable) make it increasingly difficult to properly assess value or ensure fair exercise of creators' rights. In order to foster creative activities by artists and the development of the content industry, it is necessary to establish transparent value assessment standards that can distinguish genuine value, and under such standards, copyright protection and market pricing should be determined."

Going forward, the association plans to provide objective value indicators to the copyright-backed loan market, security token offering (STO) market, and real-world asset (RWA) coin market, all based on artistic content.
