Babittalk Surpasses 10 Million Cumulative App Downloads

3.93 Million Posts and 1.13 Million Reviews Accumulated
Rising User Activity Drives Ongoing Platform Expansion

Babittalk announced on May 12 that its cumulative application (app) downloads have surpassed 10 million.

Since its service launch in 2012, Babittalk has focused on addressing information asymmetry in the aesthetic medical field. Keeping pace with the growing demand for related information and the expansion of the K-medical tourism market, Babittalk has continued to expand its user base. As a result, since 2022, the company has recorded over 1 million new downloads annually for four consecutive years, maintaining a stable growth trajectory. Last year alone, Babittalk achieved 1.4 million downloads, marking its highest annual figure since launch. After surpassing 9 million downloads in August of last year, the platform reached the 10 million mark in just eight months.

The content assets accumulated over 13 years are recognized as Babittalk’s core competitive strength. As of March this year, the cumulative number of posts reached 3.93 million, up 16.6% year-on-year, while the cumulative number of reviews increased by 20.2% to 1.13 million. The average daily number of community posts over the past three months also increased by about 19% compared to the same period last year, clearly illustrating a strong upward trend in platform activity.

Building on its domestic achievements, Babittalk is now actively targeting the global market. The company recently launched Japanese-language app and web services and is leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) natural language translation technology to provide 13 years’ worth of accumulated domestic reviews and information content in local languages. Through these efforts, Babittalk aims to establish itself as the “global gateway for K-medical tourism” by directly connecting overseas users with leading Korean medical institutions, and to become a platform that sets a new standard in the global medical beauty market.

Shin Jungin, CEO of Babittalk, stated, “Achieving 10 million downloads is the result of our ongoing efforts to improve the aesthetic medical information environment and to enhance our platform’s competitiveness based on user trust. As it becomes increasingly important to provide accurate guidance amid the flood of information, we will integrate AI technology to create an environment where both domestic and international users can conveniently and accurately search for aesthetic medical information, and we will lead the way in building a healthy K-medical tourism ecosystem.”
