The follow-up exchange was arranged to establish a practical foundation for industrial cooperation between the two countries.
Denmark possesses world-class competitiveness in renewable energy, shipping and logistics, sustainable industrial transition, eco-friendly energy, circular economy, and digital manufacturing. In particular, Denmark is attracting attention as an innovative model that simultaneously promotes carbon neutrality in manufacturing and strengthens industrial competitiveness, especially through sustainable design, new material utilization, robotics, and automation technologies.
The delegation’s visit was organized as part of the Global Innovation Network Programme (GINP), supported by the Danish Ministry of Higher Education and Science. Around 20 representatives from companies, universities, and research institutes participated, led by the Manufacturing Academy of Denmark (MADE), Denmark's national manufacturing cluster.
At the Seongnam Global Convergence Center, the delegation was briefed on the main projects of the Seongnam Industry Promotion Agency and the operation status of the System Semiconductor Development Support Center. They then visited Yeoui System Co. and Jaseng Medibio Center to observe advanced manufacturing technologies and automated production sites.

Seongnam City, with Pangyo Techno Valley at its core, is a leading advanced industrial city in Korea, home to concentrated industries such as artificial intelligence (AI), information and communication technology (ICT), bio-health, system semiconductors, content, and smart manufacturing. The city features an industrial structure where manufacturing infrastructure and advanced technology ecosystems, such as Seongnam High-Tech Valley, coexist. Leveraging this, Seongnam is building an urban environment capable of demonstrating and expanding the digital transformation of traditional manufacturing and the convergence of future industries.
Cha Kwangseung, Director of AI Innovation at Seongnam City, stated, "We expect that Denmark’s experience with sustainable manufacturing and eco-friendly industrial transition, when combined with Seongnam’s digital manufacturing and AI automation ecosystem, will create meaningful synergies for both countries."
Nigel Edmondson, CEO of the Manufacturing Academy of Denmark (MADE), said, "Seongnam’s innovative industrial field and the industry-academia-research collaboration model provide significant insights for Denmark. We hope that this visit will not be a one-off exchange but will lead to continued cooperation in the future."
