Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, said on the 11th (local time) via the social networking service X (formerly Twitter), "Our military is ready to respond appropriately to any act of aggression."

He added, "The entire world already knows that wrong strategies and wrong decisions ultimately lead to wrong outcomes. We are prepared for all possibilities, and they will be surprised," he emphasized.

Speaker Ghalibaf's remarks on this day are interpreted as a response to President Trump's hardline statements, which increased pressure regarding the terms for ending the war.

Earlier, President Trump commented on the ceasefire with Iran, saying, "It is in an unbelievably weak state," and described the current ceasefire as the worst possible situation. He continued, "The ceasefire right now is at its most vulnerable, basically on 'life support.'"

He elaborated, "If I were to diagnose it, this ceasefire is undergoing massive life support, with a doctor coming in and saying there is about a 1% chance." He also mentioned in a Fox News interview that he is considering resuming Project Freedom.
