Completion of the 'Goah Hanggokcheon Riverbank Reinforcement Project' is expected to resolve crack issues caused by subsidence at the base of the existing retaining wall, thereby reducing residents’ concerns and contributing to the prevention of safety accidents for citizens.
The 'Hancheon Local River Pedestrian Bridge Installation Project' is also anticipated to alleviate the inconvenience of crossing the river along the Flower Wind Path, which stretches from Geoui Interchange to the downstream section of Hancheon, and improve a safe and convenient walking environment for citizens.
Lawmaker Kang stated, "Both of these projects originated from the concerns raised by residents on Civil Complaints Day," adding, "I would also like to thank the officials of North Gyeongsang Province, the staff of Gumi City, and the city and provincial council members for their efforts in securing the special grants."
He further emphasized, "I will continue to listen to the voices of citizens directly in the field and do my utmost to secure 'community-based budgets' so that local inconveniences and safety issues can be addressed through actual projects and funding."
This achievement reflects close attention to even the smallest voices of local residents, and further developments from Lawmaker Kang are highly anticipated.
