Jeong Myeonggeun and Chu Mi-ae held a press conference at the Dongtan Station GTX-A Plaza on the same day, officially unveiling their pledge for a "metropolitan area 30-minute commute transformation," aimed at dramatically reducing the commuting burden for residents of Gyeonggi Province.

During the event, Chu Mi-ae stressed, "For the people of Gyeonggi Province, transportation is not just a means of movement, but a basic right that guarantees their lives," adding, "I will give back the time wasted on the road and help residents reclaim their evenings." Jeong Myeonggeun also expressed strong agreement and reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening Hwaseong's metropolitan transportation network.

The core of the pledge lies in dense connections within the metropolitan transport network and improved convenience for users. Chu Mi-ae promised the "prompt opening and enhanced connectivity of the GTX lines" as a means to minimize inconvenience for residents.

She stated that the D, E, and F lines would be prioritized for inclusion in the 5th National Rail Network Construction Plan and for early commencement of construction. Chu also pledged to secure justification for incorporating the GTX Plus G and H lines into the national rail network.

Additionally, Chu Mi-ae officially introduced the "Metropolitan One-Pass," which would integrate Gyeonggi, Seoul, and Incheon into a single living area. The policy aims to alleviate transfer inconveniences and reduce transportation costs in the metropolitan area by establishing an integrated transportation system that allows all public transport to be accessed with just one card.

For daily life-focused pledges, Chu announced the expansion of the "Children and Youth Reliable Transit Program" and the phased expansion of the "Gyeonggi Easy Bus." By extending transportation fare support for those aged 6 to 18, she intends to guarantee the mobility rights of future generations as a fundamental right.

"I will become a reliable worker who opens an era in which everyone in Gyeonggi Province can commute across the metropolitan area in just 30 minutes, restoring residents' precious daily lives and time," Chu Mi-ae appealed for support.

A representative from Jeong Myeonggeun's campaign stated, "Today's activities express a strong determination to solve Hwaseong's biggest long-standing issue, transportation, together with Gyeonggi Province," adding, "As a prepared mayor with both policy expertise and religious and cultural inclusiveness, Jeong will earn the citizens' trust and choice."
