O Kwangseok, Acting Yangpyeong County Governor, Vows Seamless Administration and Stability for Residents

Yangpyeong County in Gyeonggi Province transitioned to an acting county governor system after County Governor Jeon Jinseon registered as a preliminary candidate for the June 3 local elections. On May 11, O Kwangseok, Acting County Governor (Deputy Governor) of Yangpyeong, convened a meeting to share current county administration issues and review major pending tasks.

This meeting was organized to minimize administrative gaps and respond swiftly to livelihood issues affecting residents.

O Kwangseok, Acting County Governor (Deputy Governor) of Yangpyeong, requested that each department responsibly manage their tasks to ensure that major pending projects and various policy initiatives proceed seamlessly. He especially emphasized the importance of civil servants maintaining political neutrality, ensuring administrative continuity, and upholding public service discipline for stable county administration.

In addition, considering the prolonged instability in the Middle East, he called for a thorough assessment of the potential impact on the local economy and urged strengthened safety inspections of vulnerable facilities to ensure thorough disaster prevention.

During the acting county governor period, Yangpyeong County plans to hold regular weekly executive meetings to promptly share key policies and issues and enhance the stability of county administration.
