"Festival of Roses and Daisies" Garden Festival Opens at Jukhwagyeong in Damyang

Photo contest for visitors to be held simultaneously

The 17th Jukhwagyeong Daisy & Rose Garden Festival will be held at Jukhwagyeong, the second private garden designated in Jeollanam-do, under the theme "From small wildflowers to splendid roses, a garden where everyone is the main character."

On May 11, Damyang County, Jeollanam-do, announced that from May 20 to June 6, hundreds of varieties of herbaceous plants and shrubs will be showcased alongside daisies and roses, presenting a distinctive and vibrant garden landscape unique to Jukhwagyeong.

Jukhwagyeong is renowned for its picturesque scenery every May, when spring flowers are in full bloom and a harmonious blend of seasonal flowers and wildflowers creates a landscape reminiscent of a painting.

During the festival period, visitors can stroll through gardens centered around daisies and roses, enjoying a leisurely walk and moments of healing in nature.

Special events have also been arranged. A "Photo Contest," where participants can capture the garden's beautiful moments during the festival, will be held. Anyone who loves gardens can participate freely, and a strong response is anticipated.

A Damyang County official stated, "Following the spring Daisy & Rose Garden Festival, we will also hold a European Hydrangea Festival in the summer, presenting unique beauty with each season," adding, "We will continue to strive to serve as a leading garden tourism destination where visitors can experience the charm of nature throughout all four seasons."
