A unique scene unfolded as all 300 participants enjoyed leisurely picnics at various spots along the valley using the "Snack Picnic Kit" provided to them. Additionally, participants eagerly lined up for special attractions such as the "Yongso Mulbit Photo Studio," where Polaroid photos were taken, and the "Yongso Mulbit Playground," a roulette prize event, both of which added to the excitement at the venue.
The "Hongcheon Love Gift Certificate" (5,000 won voucher), provided to all trekking participants, also played a significant role. After the event, participants naturally flowed into local traditional markets and nearby commercial districts in Hongcheon, where they enjoyed meals and shopping. This event has been recognized as a model case of tourism that leads to tangible revitalization of the local economy.
Buoyed by the enthusiastic response to this first-half event, the foundation plans to prepare the second-half event without any setbacks. The second round of the "Yongso Mulbit Trekking," where participants can fully experience the atmosphere of the upcoming autumn, is scheduled to be held on September 12, 2026, in the Duchon-myeon area of Yongso Valley.
Choi Sunghyun, CEO of the Gangwon Tourism Foundation, stated, "By witnessing participants truly experience healing in the beautiful scenery of Yongso Valley, we once again confirmed the healing power of Gangwon's natural environment. Moving forward, we will continue to develop distinctive stay-type tourism brands by combining the unique, pristine ecological resources of Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province with creative content, so that more people will want to visit and stay."
