View original imageOn May 3, the Prime Minister's Secretariat announced the appointment of Na Seungcheol (age 49, 35th class of the Judicial Research and Training Institute), managing partner at Law Office Riman, as the new Chief of the Civil Affairs Office.
Na previously served as the 92nd President of the Seoul Bar Association and has been active as a member of the Prosecution Reform Advisory Committee and as the Chairperson of the Gyeonggi Province Regulatory Reform Committee. He was also part of the appellate defense team in President Lee Jaemyung’s violation of the Public Official Election Act case.
He will succeed former Chief of Civil Affairs Shin Hyunseong, who recently stepped down, and will assist Prime Minister Kim Minseok.
Additionally, the Prime Minister's Secretariat appointed Kwon Hyerin (age 53), Director of Policy Planning at the Office for Government Policy Coordination, as the head of the National Land Transformation Policy Task Force.
