Marathon logistics is a field that demands accuracy and precise operational capabilities, as tens of thousands of participants must have their belongings, checked in just before the race, promptly returned to them at the finish line within a limited timeframe. To ensure flawless execution at this event, Hanjin established a meticulous transportation plan prioritizing safety and thoroughly prepared before deploying at the site.
On the ground, over 100 vehicles, including 11-ton large trucks and 1-ton delivery vans, were mobilized. After conducting rigorous vehicle inspections in advance, Hanjin began preparations at 4:30 a.m. on event day by dispatching operational staff to the site. Notably, the company ensured seamless traffic flow and safe loading by thoroughly pre-inspecting transport routes, and even managed the parking angles of vehicles with careful attention to participants' movement and convenience, demonstrating detailed on-site operations.
In addition to transport services on race day, Hanjin supported participants with attentive logistics services from the pre-event stage. To facilitate smooth preparations, the company ensured flawless home delivery of "race packs," including bib numbers and T-shirts, to all 40,000 participants in advance.
Furthermore, from March 13 to 15, Hanjin broadened customer engagement by participating in the "2026 Seoul Running Expo," Korea's first globally certified expo, which attracted over 70,000 visitors. At the expo, Hanjin operated an on-site delivery desk to conveniently ship various running goods purchased at the event directly to visitors' homes. The company also promoted its global direct purchase platform, Hootown, and hosted diverse interactive events, fully showcasing its expertise in sports logistics.
Since 2024, Hanjin has served as the official logistics partner of the Seoul Marathon for three consecutive years, earning recognition for accumulating world-class expertise in logistics for major sporting events.
The Seoul Marathon, which has maintained the World Athletics (WA) highest "Platinum Label" status for seven consecutive years, stands alongside the New York, Tokyo, and Boston Marathons as one of the world's top 10 races. With around 40,000 runners participating in this year's event, the marathon has further solidified its reputation as a global sports mecca beyond Korea.
A Hanjin representative stated, "We are honored to support the successful operation of Korea's premier international marathon through our logistics services," adding, "We will continue to strengthen our competitiveness in the sports and specialized logistics markets by leveraging Hanjin's differentiated logistics network and sophisticated operational capabilities."
