The Arnold Palmer Invitational is one of the PGA Tour’s signature events, featuring only 72 top-tier players. Siwoo Kim, who demonstrated consistent form in the early part of the season by finishing in the top 10 three times over his first six tournaments, did not make the top 10 in this event but still delivered another strong performance. He finished three strokes behind the group tied for ninth place (8-under-par 280).

Kim, who was tied for 20th after three rounds, traded two birdies and two bogeys on the front nine and was unable to lower his score. On the back nine, leveraging his powerful drives, he secured two birdies on the 12th and 16th holes (both par 5) to move up the leaderboard.

The victory went to Akshay Bhatia (USA). After finishing tied with Daniel Berger (USA) at 15-under-par 273, Bhatia captured the title with a “winning par” on the first playoff hole at the 18th (par 4). This marked his third career win and his first in 1 year and 11 months since the Valero Texas Open in April 2024. Notably, all three of Bhatia’s PGA Tour wins have come via playoffs, a rare achievement. The winner’s prize was $4 million (approximately 5.94 billion won).

Ludvig Aberg (Sweden) and Cameron Young shared third place (12-under-par 276), with Collin Morikawa (USA) in fifth (11-under-par 277), while Min Woo Lee (Australia), Sahith Theegala, and Russell Henley (both USA) tied for sixth (10-under-par 278). World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler finished tied for 24th (2-under-par 286) alongside Xander Schauffele (USA) and others.
