The district announced on the 6th that it opened the Samsung-i Municipal Daycare Center in Dangsan 2-dong on March 3. This center, converted from a private daycare into a public one within the Riverside Raemian Apartment Complex, operates on the first floor with a capacity for 23 children.

On June 1, the Jaidig-nity Byeolmaru Municipal Daycare Center will open in Yangpyeong 1-dong. Located on the first floor of the Yeongdeungpo Jaidig-nity Apartment Complex, which is scheduled for completion in March, it will accommodate 46 children. Yangpyeong 1-dong has many small-scale apartment communities with fewer than 500 households, and the daycare enrollment rate exceeds 80%, indicating consistently high childcare demand in the area.

The district plans to use eco-friendly materials for both facilities and will complete the installation of educational materials and equipment, as well as safety and sanitation inspections, before opening.

Choi Hokwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, stated, "Expanding public daycare centers is an important initiative to support the healthy growth of children and to ease the childcare burden on parents. We will continue to ensure stable operations and ongoing environmental improvements to make Yeongdeungpo a great place to raise children, where both kids and parents are happy."
