BNK Busan Bank Completely Revamps Integrated Search for Mobile Banking

Introduction of Meaning-Based Search and Typo Correction Features

BNK Busan Bank (President Bang Seongbin) announced on November 11 that it has completely revamped its integrated search function under the vision of "Deeper and Broader with a Single Search," in order to enhance the convenience of mobile banking use.

With this update, the newly introduced search service provides an integrated search screen that allows users to view all content at a glance, including menus, financial products, events, branch and ATM locations, and various certificates.

In addition, autocomplete and typo correction features have been applied to help customers find the results they want more accurately and quickly. Popular search terms, recent searches, and related search suggestions have also been added to improve accessibility and scalability.

A new "notification box search" feature has been introduced, enabling customers to immediately find the necessary information within the notification messages they have received.

The core of this update is the "meaning-based search function." Even if customers do not remember the exact name of a product or menu, the system recognizes the meaning of the entered words and automatically guides them to relevant services.

For example, if a customer enters "academy fee," the bank's "Morak (Education Financial Service)" will be automatically suggested.

Lee Joohyung, Head of the Digital Finance Group at BNK Busan Bank, stated, "The biggest change in this update is that it was designed so customers can instantly access the desired service no matter what word they enter," adding, "We will continue to enhance search quality to further improve the completeness of the mobile banking experience."

With this update, BNK Busan Bank plans to establish a continuous search quality management system and sequentially expand services such as customized recommended searches and personalized financial information offerings in the future.
