View original imageThis weekend, Gwangju and South Jeolla Province are expected to see a significant drop in temperatures after rainfall, as cold air moves in.
According to the Gwangju Regional Meteorological Administration, on the 18th, the region will be affected by a low-pressure system moving eastward over the West Sea, but this influence will gradually diminish. Rainfall of 10 to 40 millimeters is forecast for most areas of Gwangju and South Jeolla Province. Morning temperatures are expected to range from 17 to 20 degrees Celsius, with daytime highs between 21 and 23 degrees Celsius.
On the 19th, the area will come under the influence of a cold continental high-pressure system expanding from northern China. From the afternoon, cold air will flow in from the north, causing a sharp drop in temperatures and strong winds, which will make it feel even colder. Morning temperatures are expected to range from 13 to 17 degrees Celsius, with daytime highs between 21 and 24 degrees Celsius.
An official from the Meteorological Administration advised, "Please take extra care of your health due to the sudden temperature changes."
