"Alley Illuminated with Light"... First String Lights Installed in Guri Station Commercial District

Expecting Improvements in Scenery, Pedestrian Safety, and Commercial Promotion

The Guri City Commercial District Revitalization Foundation in Gyeonggi Province (Chairman Baek Kyunghyun, hereinafter referred to as the Foundation) announced on October 1 that it successfully held the '2025 Yeondae Commercial District Guri Station Alley-type Shopping Street String Light Lighting Ceremony' on September 30 around 44 Geonwon-daero near Guri Station.

This lighting ceremony was organized to improve the commercial environment of the Guri Station alley-type shopping street and to create a safe pedestrian environment for citizens. The Foundation installed string lights along a 30-meter section of 44 Geonwon-daero, and the lights will be turned on daily from 6 p.m. to midnight for six hours.

The string lights are expected to not only ensure pedestrian safety during nighttime and late-night hours but also enhance the appearance of the alley, creating a pleasant atmosphere for the commercial district. In addition, they will serve as a promotional channel to inform people that the alley-type shopping street accepts Onnuri gift certificates.

Local merchants and residents attended the lighting ceremony, celebrating the moment when the bright lights were turned on and sharing their hopes that new energy would be brought into the alley’s commercial area.

Chairman Baek Kyunghyun stated, "This string light lighting is more than just an improvement in scenery; it marks the beginning of creating a space where both citizens and visitors to the Guri Station commercial district can stay safely and enjoyably. We will continue to actively promote various initiatives to revitalize the local commercial district in the future."
