Gong Sungyeon drew attention in November last year by becoming the first Korean to win second place at the prestigious Tromp International Percussion Competition in the Netherlands. In 2022, she won first prize and the commissioned work interpretation award at the Stuttgart World Marimba Competition in Germany.

While in her first year at Seoul Arts High School, she was admitted early to the Korea National University of Arts as a gifted student. After graduating with a bachelor's degree, she went to Germany and completed her master's degree at the State University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart. She is currently pursuing a second master's degree in contemporary music at the same university.

The Prain Villa Concert is a private performance designed to allow audiences to experience classical music more closely and deeply. A commentator joins the performer on stage to help the audience feel more familiar with classical music. Pianist Ahn Inmo serves as the artistic director of the Prain Villa Concert, leading the performances and providing commentary.

Following Gong Sungyeon, clarinetist Kim Wooyeon (August 15), trumpeter Sung Jaechang (October 24), and baritone Lee Eungkwang (December 24) will take the stage at the Prain Villa Concert.
