At around 9:34 a.m. on the 12th, a fire broke out in a vacant house in Imgok-dong, Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju.


The fire spread to the nearby hillside, and the fire authorities, who were dispatched after receiving a report, are carrying out firefighting operations using helicopters and other equipment.


The fire department confirmed that the flames were spreading from the house to the nearby hillside and began suppression efforts. So far, there have been no casualties.


The fire department believes the fire started in the vacant house and spread to the hillside, and plans to investigate the cause after extinguishing the fire.
