Cheonan City in South Chungcheong Province announced on the 20th that its representative local agricultural product, Haneul Green cucumber, has begun full-scale shipment.

According to the city, Haneul Green cucumbers are known for their high moisture content, firm texture, and strong cucumber aroma.

The cucumbers currently being shipped are cultivated using heating facilities such as warm air blowers, while those grown without heating are scheduled for shipment at the end of next month.

This year, thanks to the recovery in sunlight, prices are lower than last year. At the Garak-dong wholesale market in Seoul, the price for a box of 100 premium-grade Dadagi cucumbers is between 80,000 and 91,000 won, about 7,000 won lower than last year.

A city official said, "We will strengthen on-site diagnostic services to respond to climate change and expand support for farmers so that high-quality cucumbers can be produced stably."
