Namwon Aerospace Observatory Resumes Operation of 4D Full-Dome Theater

The Only One in Honam Region...
Equipped with a 4K Full-Dome 4D System

The Namwon Aerospace Observatory in Jeonbuk has completed the renovation of its second-floor planetarium and will resume operations of its 4D full-dome theater starting from the 18th.


According to the city, this project was carried out as part of the Jeonbuk Province flagship tourist attraction development initiative, aiming to improve the aging planetarium facilities since its opening on October 9, 2009.

After the renovation, the planetarium has been transformed into a 4D full-dome theater equipped with a 10-meter diameter 360-degree full-dome screen, lifelike 4K video, and a motion chair system.


A city official stated, "Namwon Aerospace Observatory has established itself as the only regional science museum in the Honam area equipped with a 4K full-dome 4D system," adding, "Visitors can expect to experience immersive 4D effects along with the video screenings."


The official further added, "Moving forward, the observatory will continue to provide new scientific content and diverse hands-on activities to promote and popularize science culture among citizens and tourists."
