In particular, at the Samho small fishing boat wharf near Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries, underwater debris was also collected through cooperation with the West Sea Marine Special Rescue Team, the Navy 3rd Fleet Command, and the Korea Marine Rescue Association.
Mokpo Maritime Police prepared a valuable opportunity to clean the marine environment polluted by waste in honor of Sea Day.
The Yeongam Kumho Embankment, where the marine cleanup took place, is famous as Course 15 of the West Sea Road and is also known as a popular fishing spot. However, trash has been left unattended along the surrounding coastline, which needs to be respected as a resting place for migratory birds.

The marine debris cleanup activity by Mokpo Maritime Police was welcomed by local residents as an opportunity to emphasize the necessity and importance of marine environment conservation on Sea Day.
