"Come Visit Dongchon Amusement Park Food Culture Festival"... Daegu Dong-gu Office Prepares Food and Entertainment

Daegu Dong-gu Office (Mayor Yoon Seok-jun) will hold the '2024 Dong-gu Food Culture Festival' for two days from the 17th to the 18th at Noksudae area of Dongchon Amusement Park.

The festival's subtitle is 'Daegu Dongchon Amusement Park Healing River Park Ori Nalda!' which reflects the characteristics of Dongchon Amusement Park such as Geumho River, duck boats, and healing, symbolizing the soaring Dong-gu.

On the first day of the festival, the 17th, a variety of performances will be held starting with a pre-performance by the Bullo Middle School Orchestra, followed by a food cocktail show, a performance by the 2nd Army Operations Command Military Band, a food culture quiz show, and a DJ BOX. On the 18th, the 'Dongchon River Park Song Festival' will be held with the sponsorship of the agricultural corporation 'Palgong Kimchi.'

At Noksu Market, emotional food booths featuring the unique characteristics of each food alley in Dong-gu will be set up, and various prize draws and events sponsored by the Dongchon Amusement Park Merchants Association will be held to maximize the festival's synergy.

Exhibition, promotion, and experience centers will also be operated. Highlights include exhibitions of representative Dong-gu foods and world cuisines, promotion and sales of excellent food products, hand drip coffee, duck soap, cotton candy making, and face painting.

Yoon Seok-jun, Mayor of Dong-gu, said, "I hope this festival, which incorporates the historic significance and tourism value of Daegu's first amusement park, will grow into a wonderful festival visited nationwide where food and culture harmonize, resonating with all generations and providing healing."
