The "Good Workplace" designation is awarded by the Community Chest when employees regularly donate a pledged amount from their monthly salary.
Since April last year, the district has been running the "Angel's Sharing" program, where employees voluntarily donate a certain amount from their monthly salary. With District Mayor Kim Kyung-ho and all executives at grade 5 and above, along with other employees sharing this commitment, the Seoul Social Welfare Community Chest selected Gwangjin-gu Office as the first "Good Workplace" among Seoul's autonomous districts in 2024.
Following Mayor Kim Kyung-ho being selected as Seoul's first district mayor "Sharing Leader" in 2022, this year the district office itself became the first "Good Workplace" among Seoul's autonomous districts, deepening the significance by realizing the value of sharing and spreading positive influence.
Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, "I express my respect and gratitude to the donors who always stand by those in need and practice sharing," adding, "We will continue to take the lead in promoting community sharing and expanding the culture of donation."
On the 29th, at the Gwangjin-gu Office auditorium, the "2024 Warm Winter Hope Ondol" project was concluded with a Good Workplace agreement ceremony and an awards ceremony honoring 74 outstanding donors.
Co-hosted with the Seoul Social Welfare Community Chest, the event included ▲ a progress report and video screening of the 2024 Warm Winter Hope Ondol project ▲ awards presentation for outstanding donors ▲ Good Workplace agreement ▲ and a commemorative photo session.
