The Jeonnam Naju Forestry Successors Association (Representative Nam Ok-seon) announced on the 19th that it held an event to distribute 3,000 companion trees on the 16th at the outdoor stage area of Bitgaram Lake Park.
Organized by the Forestry Successors Association, this event is held every March as part of efforts to raise interest in forestry and to practice carbon neutrality through individual tree planting by citizens.

This year, 3,000 trees were distributed for free in sets of three species?Wangdaechu (Korean jujube), Taechu persimmon, and Golden Sarcheol?to the first 1,000 applicants.
Among them, 1,000 Golden Sarcheol trees were provided through a donation by Kim Du-heon, the association’s auditor and CEO of Duseong Enterprise, adding special meaning to the sharing event.
Mayor Yoon Byung-tae expressed gratitude to the Forestry Successors Association for leading the spread of tree planting culture through the annual sharing event, and said, “I hope citizens will not only plant trees but also take active interest in preventing forest fires to ensure the precious forests are well preserved.”
