The Korea International Trade Association announced on the 5th that Chairman Yoon Jin-sik visited Prime Minister Han Duck-soo at the Government Seoul Office and discussed the need to expand exports and related regulatory reform measures.

View original imageDuring the meeting, Prime Minister Han and Chairman Yoon agreed that the recent recovery in exports, centered on key items such as semiconductors, should lead to revitalization of domestic demand and serve as an opportunity for economic resurgence.
Additionally, the government and the Trade Association agreed to identify sector-specific regulations that hinder export growth in response to the rapidly changing trade environment characterized by economic nationalism and protectionism. They also shared the intention to actively cooperate in boldly innovating regulations in line with global standards to strengthen export competitiveness.
