Yeonggwang-gun 'Free Training for Water Safety Personnel' Dedicated Effort

Training Skilled Professionals... Providing Workforce Supply and Employment Opportunities

Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kang Jong-man) is currently conducting the '1st Water Safety Personnel Training' at Yeonggwang Indoor Swimming Pool starting from the 16th to address the shortage of water safety personnel in the region.


According to the county, this training is commissioned to the Korea Maritime Rescue Association and was promoted to cultivate water safety personnel and provide employment opportunities for job seekers in the area. The training fee is fully supported by the county budget and is free of charge.


The main training content includes acquiring professional knowledge and skills in water rescue, enabling trainees to respond in emergencies, along with guidance to obtain certification.

Trainee A said, "Although the underwater training is physically exhausting and challenging, I am grateful to Yeonggwang-gun for providing the opportunity to receive meaningful training that can save precious lives."


The training period is from the 16th to the 25th, lasting 5 days. The first day covers theory education on water safety and rescue, days 2 to 4 include CPR and rescue practical training, and the last day is for certification examination.



A county official stated, "Through this training, we hope the trainees acquire professional and systematic knowledge to help save lives in emergencies, and that obtaining certification will serve as an opportunity to assist in employment."
