Yong Soju is a product inspired by the Hongcheon River in Hongcheon, Gangwon Province. The representative couple of 'Duru Brewery,' who developed Yong Soju, said they were inspired by the Hongcheon River, which evokes the image of a dragon.

The couple completed a master's degree in brewing science and received over ten years of rural farming education to develop traditional liquor. They continuously researched nuruk and yeast using ingredients they farmed themselves in Hongcheon, and based on this, they perfected Yong Soju, which contains a rich and deep flavor.

Yong Soju does not use any artificial sweeteners such as aspartame or stevia, achieving the natural sweetness of rice itself. Additionally, it adopts an indirect heating distillation method without applying direct heat during the distillation process, preventing any burnt smell and allowing for a clean aftertaste that lingers in the mouth.

Kim Jaeseon, MD of the Beverage and Alcohol Team, said, "In 2024, we will actively introduce various premium traditional liquors and continue to develop differentiated products exclusive to Seven Eleven."
