On the 30th, Gochang-gun, Jeonbuk announced the official opening of the ‘Dolmen Media Garden’ on the first floor of the Gochang Dolmen Museum, the only dolmen-specialized museum in Korea.
As part of the 2023 Media Art Permanent Experience Zone Construction Project, the Dolmen Media Garden was completed with a special grant of 600 million KRW. It offers a comfortable resting place along with mesmerizing visuals through videos that combine various dolmen-themed content with immersive media art technology.
Additionally, the large screen measuring 25m in width and 5.4m in height is an ultra-high-definition LED curved display composed of over 2,000 LED modules sized 320×160mm, creating vivid colors and immersive experiences that amaze visitors.
The main contents include ▲ ‘Dolmen Garden,’ which provides peace and emotional stability with colorful flowers, animals, and natural sounds of Gochang blooming around the dolmen ▲ 2022 Gochang Dolmen Site World Heritage media art immersive content ▲ and the 2023 Gochang Dolmen Site cultural heritage media art main show titled ‘CIRCLE OF LIFE.’
County Governor Shim Deok-seop said, “I am pleased that a space has been created where visitors who have not yet seen the 2023 Gochang Dolmen Site media art using cutting-edge ICT technology can enjoy it anytime,” adding, “We will continue to actively accumulate and utilize various digital contents related to the World Heritage Gochang Dolmen.”
