Vietnam Dongyang Agricultural and Marine Products, which signed the agreement, was established in 2013 and is a global agricultural and marine food distribution company headquartered in Hanoi.

They operate seven stores in five locations including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Haiphong, achieving an average annual sales revenue of 10.6 billion KRW. Notably, about 90% of Dongyang Agricultural and Marine Products' total imported goods are agricultural and marine products from Naju.

Through this agreement, Dongyang Agricultural and Marine Products plans to distribute approximately 4 billion KRW worth of Naju agricultural and marine food products in their local supermarkets in Vietnam.

Along with the agreement, a promotional sales event for 14 items of Naju agricultural and marine food products is being held until the 15th at One Mart and Plus Mart located in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Following the signing ceremony, Deputy Mayor Kang and the visiting delegation participated in the promotional event at Dongyang Agricultural and Marine Products' One Mart to promote excellent Naju agricultural and marine food products to the local people.

Since the launch of the 8th local government administration, Naju City has achieved export agreements worth $19 million for local agricultural and marine food products, including this agreement.

In addition to Vietnam, they have focused on active sales efforts to pioneer overseas markets such as last year’s Han Nam Chain, the largest Korean-American distribution company in the United States, Dubai’s Cheonsa Mart (1004 GOURMET) in the United Arab Emirates in June this year, and H Mart in New Jersey, USA in October.

City Council member Choi Moon-hwan said, “The city council will also actively support the revitalization of agricultural product exports, including Naju pears, and do its best to lead farmers’ income.”

Deputy Mayor Kang Young-gu stated, “We hope that agricultural and marine food products produced by local companies using local agricultural products such as Naju pears and Naju rice will become beloved agricultural products among the Vietnamese people. We will continue to do our best to expand export channels for excellent agricultural and marine food products so that the hard work of farmers can translate into real income.”
