Busan City will hold the '2023 Busan One Asia Festival (Busan One Asia Festival, 2023 BOF)', Asia's largest Hallyu festival, over two days from October 21 to 22.
BOF was first held in 2016, opening a new horizon for Hallyu festivals. It has become a cultural exchange platform for Hallyu where young people from around the world can gather and enjoy K-culture together in one place, beyond just a K-POP festival.
Especially, after being held online for four years due to COVID-19, this year it will be held face-to-face as normal. With hopes of attracting the 2030 Busan World Expo, the festival will feature top-tier domestic performers and diverse K-cultural content, offering K-POP festival enjoyment from Busan to Hallyu fans both domestic and abroad who have been eagerly awaiting BOF.
This event includes a 'K-POP Concert', a 'Park Concert', and various programs as side events.
The 'K-POP Concert' will be held on October 21 at 6:30 PM at the Busan Asiad Main Stadium, featuring a lineup of top performers with global fandoms who are leading the worldwide Hallyu wave, presenting a spectacular stage.
▲Starting with NCT127, ▲Oh My Girl, ▲Lee Chae-yeon, ▲The Wind, ▲BAE173, ▲XODIAC, ▲Classy, ▲ZEROBASEONE, ▲TREASURE, and ▲Highlight, a total of 10 teams will participate and deliver amazing performances.
Alongside the K-POP Concert, side events themed around K-Beauty, K-Art, and K-Food will be prepared as fandom-customized participation programs to promote the 2030 Busan World Expo bid, providing experiences of Busan's cultural contents and introducing another charm to Hallyu fans.
The 'Park Concert' will be held the next day, October 22, at 6 PM. It is an OST emotional concert that all generations can enjoy together, set against the panoramic stage of Busan Port Pier 1, where Busan's history, culture, and sea can be seen at a glance.
▲Part 1 will feature a dazzling stage by Busan label Burning Soda and the international dance organization IDO (from South Korea, India, Thailand, Hong Kong, and Taiwan) dance teams. ▲Part 2 will feature ▲Baek Ji-young, ▲December (DK), ▲Lee Ah-young, ▲DreamNote, and ▲Lyn, presenting an emotional stage where attendees can feel the night view of the pier and the romance of the night sea.
Along with the Park Concert, webtoon artist MindC will serve as the general director, collaborating with K-artists and Busan citizens to create BOF artwork wishing for the 2030 Busan World Expo bid. Side events including historical exhibitions of Busan Port Pier 1, K-Culture, and K-Food will also be held.
Notably, Busan Port Pier 1 (Jung-gu), where the performance will be held for the first time, is the starting point of modern Busan city and the central venue for the 2030 Busan World Expo. It is expected to approach citizens as a new cultural space in Busan.

Mayor Park Hyung-jun said, “As BOF is being held face-to-face for the first time in four years, we have prioritized the safety and convenience of visitors in preparation. Also, as Busan is growing as the center of K-Culture, we made sure that through BOF, people can create joyful memories by experiencing the status of K-POP and Hallyu culture.” He added, “We ask for the citizens’ great interest and support, and the 2024 BOF is scheduled to be held in June next year.”
