A large number of infant and toddler bodies brutally killed were discovered in the Israeli area infiltrated by the Palestinian armed faction Hamas. Most were decapitated or burned.
On the 10th (local time), according to local media such as i24 News and The Times of Israel, as well as foreign media including CNN and Fox News, the Israeli military found cases of entire families, including babies, shot to death inside homes such as bedrooms during a search of the Kfar Aza kibbutz (collective farm). The number of infant bodies alone reached 40.

According to the Israeli military, which responded after Hamas's surprise attack on the 7th, more than 100 civilians were massacred by Hamas in the Kfar Aza kibbutz alone.
An Israeli military official, in an interview with local media, said, "In my 39 years of service, I have never seen anything like this," and expressed outrage, saying, "Babies and their parents were brutally killed by terrorists in their bedrooms and shelters. This is not war; this is a massacre."

A military official in the area did not disclose the exact number of deaths but estimated that hundreds of bodies would be found.
In the southern Be'eri kibbutz near the Palestinian Gaza Strip, more than 100 bodies were found just the previous day.
Earlier, on the dawn of the 7th, Hamas fired thousands of rockets toward southern and central Israel and infiltrated Israel, taking residents and soldiers hostage. The Israeli military imposed a full blockade on the Palestinian Gaza Strip and launched retaliatory airstrikes. As clashes between the two sides continue, the death toll has now exceeded 1,800.
Separately from the casualty counts of both sides, if the 1,500 bodies of Hamas militants found by the Israeli military are included, the death toll easily surpasses 3,000. Since Israel continues airstrikes on the Gaza Strip in retaliation, the number of casualties is expected to rise further.

Since launching a counterattack on the 7th, Israel has struck 1,000 targets. According to the United Nations, Israeli airstrikes damaged 790 houses and 5,300 buildings in the Gaza Strip.
As civilian casualties in Gaza increase, Hamas has threatened to execute Israeli civilian hostages as retaliation if Israel continues bombing. It is currently understood that at least 150 hostages, including 50 Israeli soldiers, are being held in the Gaza Strip.
