The final winners were selected through an online public vote, with approximately 60,000 votes counted. Notably, this year a QR code was provided for direct access to the online screening room, enhancing accessibility for online voting.
This year’s Subway Film Festival began accepting submissions in May, receiving a total of 1,805 entries from 78 countries. Subsequently, 45 finalists were selected, and the films were screened throughout various locations in the Seoul subway from August 17 to September 13.
Ma Haegun, Head of Public Relations at Seoul Metro, said, “We are grateful for the interest and support shown for the 14th Seoul Metro International Subway Film Festival. We will continue to strive to transform the subway, a space of everyday life, into a cultural venue through the International Subway Film Festival and various other cultural events.”
