Yangcheon-gu (District Mayor Lee Gi-jae) announced that on the 16th, the 10th Early Childhood Forest Family Festival, ‘Dunggae Dunggae Children’s Play Forest Rest Forest,’ will be held at Sintree Park to allow local children to experience nature with their families and develop social skills.

This event is aimed at children aged 3 to 5 who have not yet entered elementary school, and any accompanying family members can participate. Under the three themes of nature experience, family friendliness, and forest healing, the district will operate a total of eight programs where children can play with peers and enjoy the beauty of the park forest.

Main programs include observing rice paddies and insect houses, making Yangcheon-gu’s symbol sunflower with natural materials, forest rope play, a Polaroid photo zone, a small concert in the forest, and traditional play experiences, among others.

The number of participants is limited to 200, and residents wishing to participate can make a family-based reservation on a first-come, first-served basis through the ‘Seoul Public Service Reservation’ website. On-site registration on the day of the event is also possible.

An Early Childhood Forest Family Festival certification shot event will also be held. Participants who upload photos taken at the Sintree Park festival site and their reviews on personal social networking services (SNS), then capture and submit the screen, will be selected to receive a mobile coffee coupon.

Since 2015, the district has been operating six early childhood forest experience centers at locations including Sinjeongsan Ureongbawi, Yongwangsan, Jiyangsan, Maebongsan, Gyenam, and Galsan to provide opportunities for children who lack access to nature in the city, with a total of about 270,000 visitors to date.

Lee Gi-jae, Mayor of Yangcheon-gu, said, “We hope for great interest and participation in the Early Childhood Forest Festival, where families can spend happy times surrounded by nature, and we will continue to support the holistic growth of our children through high-quality forest experience programs based on communication with nature.”
