Busan Gijang-gun Opens 'Children's Harmony Event' at Local Childcare Center

On the 8th, Gijang-gun, Busan held the 10th Regional Children's Center Joint Sports Competition at the Gijang Gymnasium.


This event was sponsored by Gijang-gun, Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters, and the Salvation Army, and was organized to strengthen community bonds for the healthy development of local children and to promote harmony among children attending regional children's centers within the district. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the event.

About 300 participants, including children from local children's centers, workers, parents, and volunteers, attended the event, which proceeded in the order of ▲special performances ▲opening ceremony ▲sports competition ▲booth activities ▲closing ceremony.


The children and workers from the regional children's centers who participated in the event enjoyed a joyful time, freely playing and laughing through various programs and experiential activities.


The ‘Child and Youth Energy Revitalization Project,’ a specialized project by the Gijang-gun Community Social Security Council’s Child and Youth Working Subcommittee, was also conducted, receiving enthusiastic responses from participants.



Jung Jong-bok, the mayor of Gijang-gun, who attended the event, said, “I am grateful for the efforts of all those involved in making this meaningful occasion possible,” and added, “We will actively support creating a happy and safe care environment so that children can grow up healthy.”
