Premium handmade burger brand BUNPATTYBUN opened a drive-thru store in Gangneung at the end of last month, allowing customers to order handmade burgers from their cars.

Located at Anmok Beach in Gangneung, 'BUNPATTYBUN Gangneung' is a standalone store on a total site area of 2,326㎡ (approximately 700 pyeong) with a total floor area of 437㎡ (about 130 pyeong) and more than 90 indoor and outdoor seats. BUNPATTYBUN broke the stereotype that a drive-thru system is difficult for handmade burgers, which require a lot of effort. A BUNPATTYBUN representative stated, "We optimized the customer waiting flow between ordering and pickup to establish a stabilized system even for handmade burgers."

BUNPATTYBUN is famous for its handmade burgers, with patties and buns baked fresh daily at the store. They also adhere to premium ingredients such as fresh organic wheat brioche buns and 100% beef patties aged at low temperatures.

The building of 'BUNPATTYBUN Gangneung' also attracts attention. Designed by architects who worked on the Swiss Embassy in Korea and Terarosa, the building features an impressive 8-meter-high ceiling and a modern, stylish white-toned exterior. Notably, the round windows shaped like the brand’s symbol, the bun (BUN), the arch-shaped entrance, and the ceiling glass windows designed to let sunlight into the interior create a unique atmosphere.

Kim Seonghwan, CEO of BUNPATTYBUN, said, "Gangneung is a beautiful place, the best tourist destination in Korea, and aiming to be one of the world’s top 100 tourist cities. We are pleased to present an original space where customers can enjoy real premium handmade burgers here." He added, "We will continue to focus on the essentials, such as developing high-quality menus and improving customer service, to gain a competitive edge in the burger market."
