Gwangju Gwangsan Police Station, Summer Vacation Guidance Activities for At-Risk Youth

The Gwangju Gwangsan Police Station announced on the 28th that it is conducting guidance activities to protect at-risk youth and prevent the misuse of narcotics.

Since the 25th, the Gwangsan Police Station has designated the period until the 31st of next month as the 'At-Risk Youth Guidance and Protection Promotion Period.'

To guide at-risk youth and promptly protect victims, the police have strengthened the information-sharing cooperation system with schools, and are also conducting customized security activities around places where youth gather, such as parks and PC rooms.

The school-dedicated police team is conducting harmful environment inspections and narcotics prevention activities simultaneously at five locations, including the academy district around the Suwan area near Kookmin Bank and the LC Tower area in Wolgye-dong, Cheomdan.

The Suwan, Cheomdan, and Usan police substations have designated areas where delinquent youth gather as flexible patrol routes and are significantly increasing night patrols.

In Gwangsan District, there are a total of 98 schools, including 45 elementary schools, 26 middle schools, 17 high schools, and 10 alternative and special schools.
