According to reports, a man in his 40s who runs a watermelon farm in Anhui Province, China, developed this unique fruit variety by combining watermelon and melon into one fruit.

This fruit has watermelon and melon attached like a snowman, each maintaining its own shape. The size is small enough to fit entirely in one adult male hand. With its small size, it allows people to enjoy the flavors of both watermelon and melon at once without any burden.

Introducing himself under the pen name 'Ddaggeo (Hyungnim),' the man posted on Chinese SNS Weibo on the 12th, "I have tried several times to graft melon seeds onto watermelon seeds, and this time I finally succeeded," adding, "With this new variety, anyone can buy melon and watermelon at once."

He further explained, "This variety is based on watermelon with melon grafted onto it," and said, "Among the modified varieties planted in the field, some grew exactly half watermelon and half melon as expected. However, others grew with 10% watermelon and 90% melon, which was below expectations."
