3 Seriously Injured and 11 Slightly Injured in Wrong-Way Driving Accident
Accurate Cause of Accident Under Investigation

On the way to work, an escalator accident occurred at Sunae Station on the Bundang Line, injuring more than 10 people.

At around 8:20 a.m. on the 8th, the escalator going up at Exit 2 of Sunae Station on the Bundang Line in Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi Province, ran in reverse.

As a result of the accident, three passengers including Mr. A sustained serious injuries to their waist and legs and were transported to the hospital, while 11 others including Mr. B received relatively minor injuries and are receiving treatment.

The police and fire authorities are investigating the exact cause of the accident by interviewing witnesses and others.
