On the 25th, Gwangju Gwangsan Fire Station urged the installation of commercial kitchen automatic fire extinguishing systems in cafeterias, large stores, and general restaurants.
Restaurant kitchens have a high risk of fire due to grease buildup on hoods and ducts, and if a fire occurs in the exhaust system, the flames are not visible from the outside, making initial firefighting difficult.
If a 'commercial kitchen automatic fire extinguishing system' that automatically detects fires and releases extinguishing agents is installed, damage can be minimized. From December 1st, installation will be mandatory.
Kim Young-il, head of Gwangsan Fire Station, said, “For fire prevention, we ask for cooperation in placing K-class fire extinguishers and installing commercial kitchen automatic fire extinguishing systems in restaurant kitchens where fire use is frequent.”
