Gangjin County Council Concludes 7-Day Agenda of the 290th Extraordinary Session

The Gangjin County Council of Jeollanam-do (Chairperson Kim Bomi) concluded the agenda of the 290th Gangjin County Council extraordinary session, which was held over a seven-day period from the 9th to the 15th.

According to the county council on the 16th, during this seven-day extraordinary session, questions regarding county administration were conducted, ordinances and general agenda items were reviewed and resolved, and the 2023 administrative audit plan was approved.


During the county administration questioning held on the 10th, in-depth questions and answers were exchanged regarding three questions about the county governor and 22 questions concerning the heads of various departments and offices, encouraging implementation.


Additionally, after review by the standing committee, at the 3rd plenary session, four agenda items including the draft announcement on the designation of areas subject to the urban area portion of property tax and the partial amendment ordinance of the Gangjin County Water Supply Ordinance were approved as originally proposed. A resolution urging the withdrawal of Japan Fukushima’s decision to discharge radioactive contaminated water into the ocean, which threatens fishermen’s livelihoods, was also proposed and adopted.


Chairperson Kim Bomi stated, “This 290th extraordinary session served as an opportunity for the county council to advance its legislative activities by addressing citizens’ voices, county administration development, and sustainable future alternatives through county administration questions and handling various agenda items, thereby improving the quality of life for residents.” She added, “I hope that the constructive opinions and policy proposals shared through this county administration questioning will be actively reviewed and reflected in county administration and policies.”



Meanwhile, the next 291st 1st regular session is scheduled to open from the 12th to the 30th of next month for 19 days, during which it plans to handle reports on major county administration tasks, the 2023 administrative audit, approval of the 2022 settlement of accounts, and approval of contingency expenditure.
