It was a disappointing runner-up finish for Kim Si-woo.

On the 14th (local time), Kim Si-woo shot an 8-under-par in the final 4th round of the PGA Tour AT&T Byron Nelson (total prize money $9.5 million) held at TPC Craig Ranch (par 71, 7,414 yards) in McKinney, Texas, USA, but settled for a tie for 2nd place (22-under-par 262 strokes). He failed to secure his second win of the season and fifth career victory since the Sony Open in January. This marks his fourth top-10 finish of the year.

Starting from a tie for 4th place, 2 strokes behind, Kim Si-woo showcased perfect play with 8 birdies. Notable were his three consecutive birdies from holes 4 to 6 and back-to-back birdies on holes 9 and 10. He mounted a fierce chase with "stepping stone birdies" on holes 14, 16, and 18, but fell just 2% short of overturning the outcome. Kim Si-woo will aim for his first major championship at the PGA Championship held at Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, New York, starting on the 18th.

Jason Day (USA) swept up 9 birdies to claim a one-stroke victory (23-under-par 261 strokes). This was his 13th career win and first in 5 years since the Wells Fargo Championship in May 2018, earning $1.71 million (approximately 2.3 billion KRW) in prize money. Since his first PGA Tour win at this event in 2010, Day has broken free from a trophy drought on this "promised land."

Austin Eckroat (USA) tied for 2nd place, Pan Cheng-tsung (Taiwan) finished 4th (21-under-par 263 strokes), and world No. 2 Scottie Scheffler (USA) ended tied for 5th (20-under-par 264 strokes). From Korea, An Byeong-hun improved by 6 strokes to finish tied for 14th (17-under-par 267 strokes). Kang Sung-hoon also tied for 14th, Kim Joo-hyung tied for 34th (13-under-par 271 strokes), and Bae Sang-moon tied for 43rd (12-under-par 272 strokes). Lee Kyoung-hoon, who was attempting to become the first Korean player to win three consecutive PGA Tour events, finished tied for 50th (11-under-par 273 strokes). Kim Sung-hyun tied for 50th, and Noh Seung-yeol tied for 74th (7-under-par 277 strokes).
