Daesang Cheongjeongwon announced on the 10th that it will launch a new product, 'Jinju-style Bibim Naengmyeon.'
Jinju Naengmyeon is a premium dish enjoyed by yangban (noble class) during the Joseon Dynasty, characterized by chewy noodles made from a mixture of starch and buckwheat, combined with a seafood and meat broth that delivers a deep umami flavor. Cheongjeongwon is releasing this new product to meet consumer demand for a unique taste of naengmyeon, different from the common varieties like Pyongyang, Dongchimi, and Hamheung naengmyeon, especially for the summer season.
The Jinju-style Bibim Naengmyeon introduced by Cheongjeongwon features a special bibim sauce that boasts the sweet and sour yet rich umami flavor unique to Jinju naengmyeon. The sauce is made by grinding garlic, onion, chili, and ginger, then adding the savory flavors of beef and fish soy sauce to create a deep meat taste and rich umami. Additionally, Cheongjeongwon enhances the flavor quality by using its premium soy sauce "Haetsaldamun Jingan Jang Gold" and Sunchang Jin Gochujang, completing a premium bibim sauce exclusive to Cheongjeongwon.
The noodles are made from four grains?buckwheat, sweet potato starch, dwarf wheat, and barley?imparting a savory taste and aroma. The noodles are thick and elastic, produced using traditional methods to enhance texture. The combination of the nutty, chewy noodles and the special bibim sauce allows consumers to experience the sophisticated flavor unique to Jinju naengmyeon.
