The Gangbuk Police Station in Seoul announced on the 7th that they have arrested and are investigating Mr. A (48) on charges of possessing methamphetamine (violation of the Narcotics Control Act) and other offenses.
The police apprehended Mr. A at 2:37 a.m. on the same day in Mia-dong, Gangbuk-gu, Seoul, following a report from a crime-tracking YouTuber.
Inside Mr. A's vehicle, 34 syringes were found. Among them were syringes containing a white powder presumed to be methamphetamine, as well as syringes with bloodstains and other traces indicating drug use.
Despite police orders to stop, Mr. A fled by ramming into the YouTuber's vehicle and guardrails, but was caught by the police six minutes after the report.
The police plan to conduct a rapid drug test on Mr. A that morning to determine drug use and will apply for an arrest warrant.
