On March 8, 2023, flames are spreading in the hills of Yongju-myeon, Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam Province.

A fire that had occurred and been extinguished in the hills of Yongju-myeon, Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam, reignited around midnight on the 10th.
According to Gyeongnam Province and forestry authorities, the wildfire restarted at the summit area, which is designated as a wildfire impact zone.
In the early morning, the low atmospheric pressure limited the spread of the flames, but the fire has been spreading since around 5 a.m.
At the site, 11 helicopters and 216 personnel including firefighters have been deployed to combat the fire.
Around 1:40 a.m., evacuation orders were issued to nearby residents of Gyerim and Angye villages.
