The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced that the 'Young Leaders Roundtable,' which gathered to develop economic policies focusing on four major areas: low birthrate and childcare, startups, climate change, and urban competitiveness, delivered a total of 30 policy proposals collected over three months of activities to Mayor Oh Se-hoon on the 9th.
The 'Young Leaders Roundtable' is an advisory group composed of 20 female representatives of startup companies in fields such as beauty, gaming, content, and childcare. The 20 members met every two weeks to listen to lectures by presenters and engage in discussions to discover and propose innovative ideas.
The closing ceremony of the 'Young Leaders Roundtable' held that day reviewed the 100 days of activities and proceeded with presentations of policy proposals from female startup representatives to the Seoul Metropolitan Government in four areas: low birthrate and childcare, urban competitiveness, climate change, and startups. The city plans to actively reflect the policy proposals from the 'Young Leaders Roundtable' in city administration after review by the relevant departments.
Mayor Oh Se-hoon of Seoul said, “The policy proposals intensively discussed over three months will be carefully reviewed and reflected in city administration,” adding, “Starting from this, we will create opportunities for various leaders to participate in policy proposals with interest in city administration to make Seoul a better place to live.”
