Oh Se-hoon Inspects Additional Operation of Cremation and Burial Facilities... Visits Seoul Memorial Park and Others

Mayor Oh plans to inspect the additional operation status of Seoul's cremation and enshrinement facilities and encourage the officials who are working hard on site.

Seoul City is operating an "Emergency Operation System for Cremation Facilities" and creating temporary enshrinement spaces to respond to the increased demand for crematoriums and enshrinement spaces due to the COVID-19 situation. Through the "Emergency Operation System for Cremation Facilities," the city operates at full capacity until midnight daily, enabling 72% more processing compared to normal times. In the case of "Seoul Memorial Park," operations have been expanded from an average of 44 cases per day to 72 cases.

Seoul City is also creating 30 temporary enshrinement rooms at the Seoul Medical Center Gangnam Branch, which will begin operation on the 4th. With this, the total number of enshrinement rooms in municipal hospitals will be expanded to 138.
