Starting from the 4th, People Power Party Opens Local Election Nomination Applications

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] The People Power Party Gyeongnam Provincial Party Committee's Nomination Management Committee is conducting an open call for applications to recommend candidates for the 8th nationwide simultaneous local elections for basic local government heads and metropolitan/basic council members.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have the right to run for office under the Public Official Election Act, and must meet the requirements of a responsible party member at the time of application.

If the applicant does not meet the responsible party member requirements, they can only submit their application after paying party dues equivalent to the last three months of the required dues for the respective position.

Applicants must download the form from the People Power Party Gyeongnam Provincial Party Committee website, fill out the application, and submit it in person or through an authorized proxy.

Applications for metropolitan local government heads should be submitted at the reception area set up in the large conference room on the 3rd floor of the central party office, while applications for basic local government heads and metropolitan/basic council members should be submitted at the reception area in the auditorium on the 5th floor of the Gyeongnam Provincial Party Committee.

Applicants born on or after June 2, 1977, who are under 45 years old as of the election date, as well as youth, persons with disabilities registered in autonomous districts, cities, or counties under the Welfare of Persons with Disabilities Act, basic livelihood security recipients, and national merit recipients, are eligible for a reduction in the screening fee.

The application period for metropolitan local government heads is from the 4th to the 6th of this month, and for basic local government heads and metropolitan/basic council members, it is from the same day until the 8th, with submissions accepted daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
