[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Suncheon National University (President Ko Young-jin) announced on the 4th that Professor Choi Yong-seok of the Department of Logistics was appointed as the president of the Korean Society of Maritime and Logistics for a two-year term.
Founded in 1982, the Korean Society of Maritime and Logistics is a leading academic organization in the logistics field, publishing the Korea Research Foundation-registered journal "Maritime and Logistics Research" annually and hosting four academic conferences in the maritime and logistics sectors domestically and internationally.
Professor Choi Yong-seok, newly appointed president, currently serves as the head of the Startup Support Group at Suncheon National University, editor-in-chief of Maritime and Logistics Research, advisory member of the Korea Maritime Institute, and advisory member of the Port Authority, among other roles in related fields. He expressed his intention to "create a society that produces and proposes research results responding to the rapidly changing maritime logistics industry."
